THE DAVID

MOVEMENT

THERE IS MORE

ABOUT

The David Movement is about prioritising extravagant worship that overflows into creative mission. This is achieved primarily through two things: teaching dance and movement workshops with various groups and churches to encourage creativity, release freedom, and draw people into fresh encounters with God; and through facilitating creative evangelism opportunities on the street, using dance and music to spread joy and create open and interactive environments which lead to powerful conversations and encounters with Jesus.

It is inspired by David in the Bible whose leadership was characterised by extravagant creativity and complete dependence on God. He prioritised day and night worship and used his creative gifts to give God all the glory.

WHAT WE DO

  • A woman with blonde hair and a blue t-shirt teaching a workshop with her arms stretched to the side

    Movement Workshops

Mary offers dance and worship workshops for different age groups to encourage creativity, to release freedom, and to draw people into fresh encounters with God.

  • A group of people on the street with flags in their hands having a conversation

    Creative Evangelism

We use the creative arts to bring joy and hope to our towns and cities. Dance and music become great conversation starters to tell people about Jesus.

  • A woman wearing all black with a big fire flag on a large stage with a band to one side and worship lyrics on the screen behind

    Prophetic Dance

Mary dances at Christian conferences or gatherings to encourage people to worship freely and to partner with what God wants to release through movement.
